Today

It was a workful day, not able to do much technically, I was involved with documentation through out the day. Looking eagerly for weekend, to complete so pending items.
There are lot of posts which are still in draft state, need to give some touch to them also.

Adobe FABridge error

Trying to communicate with Flex application from javascript tried using FABridge, everything fine with Action script side include FAB ro src build folder, added bride in mxml. In Js side imported FABridge.Js and initialised FAB root also. Still throwing javascript object error, wondering why?

Some with FABridge samples came with the SDK 3.0. Its working fine with live adobe FAB samples not working when downloaded. Got struck in this issue

I can't believe this...

Flex fire effect

Its really interesting to work with flex 3.0, I have been working with lot of samples and exploring the features of Flex. What really impressed is the fire/smoke effect, so started working on that and done this logo.

About modal window widget

We already know about Modal windows and their behaviour, I was very much inspired by Lightbox and trying to use similar for my About screen, that is to show the About me in modal window.
Thanks to Ericmmartin for the Simple modal window script.

1.If needed you can download the scripts and upload it to your domain, download the scripts and css from http://www.ericmmartin.com/projects/simplemodal/#download site.
2.Backup your template (Safety First ).
3.Goto edit template and find </html> and copy the below code above it.

9.Dont forget to upload the basic.css and the x png image if you are using scripts from your domain.

This widget works fine with IE7 and Firefox 1.5+, I have not tested in other browsers.

Whatz blogging to me !

Nice topic huh ! Drafting such a post was in thought process for long time.
Blogging, I started merely twenty months before and proud to say one of the early bird to use blogger (Google's valuable service). I inspired by reading some technical articles written as blogs, most of them are based on the issues faced and the solution which they applied for that, So I started exploring on blog. Web Log is shortly known as blog.

I also came across lot of personal blogs and got inspired and started writing of my own. I dint formed any boundary or protocol for blogging, posted forwards, images, youtube videos and little of my personal incidents. Even I posted lyrics of songs which I liked, most of them by searching net and some by scripting myself by listening to those number of times . Early blogger provided classic template for hosting which had less options to tweak, later blogger introduced blogger beta which supported XHTML and provided more scope for tweaking the layout and adding widgets to the template. It became routine for me to do experiments with the blogger by tweaking it and adding widgets to them. Till now I would have changed up to five templates . I tried with other blog providers like word press, yahoo 360, windows live so on.. but nothing impressed me like this one.

Many of them asked why don't you post about yourself rather than posting some forwards and other news articles ? Even I too agree with this, there are lot of sources who are efficient in delivering the same. But I'm not targeting any audiences for the information I post, most of them are posted because I find it interesting .

I was novice to web applications, blogging brought me close to these and got introduced with these technologies, by working on these templates and java scripts.

Personally whether I post anything informative to others or not, but surely I impressed my friends and some of them started blogging because of me .

Even these smilies which you see in this post and the quote above are improved by tweaking the template source.
